Oil prices reacted to the timeline. West Texas Intermediate futures edged up to around $74 a barrel, paring earlier gains that had pushed the price toward $76. |
Shell CEO Wael Sawan cautioned of a "huge impact" on global trade if the conflict blocks the Strait of Hormuz, through which about 20% of the world's oil flows. |
