Aid Made Available for Church Workers with Student Loan Debt

Since you receive the Church Law & Tax Update every week to your email, it is safe to assume you work in some capacity for your church.

Well, an important rule change made by the US Department of Education might interest you. If you and anyone you work with are employed full-time for a church or religious organization and have student loan debt to pay off, you and your fellow workers may be eligible for loan forgiveness.

For the first time ever, certain clergy and church workers are eligible to have federal Direct student loans forgiven.
