Good evening, As the sharemarket correction punches holes in investment portfolios, dealmakers are keeping brave faces and trying to get transactions signed before conditions deteriorate any further. While plenty of listed companies will come on to private equity radars following the sell-off, all eyes are on funding markets to see whether suitors can be in a position to pounce. Tonight we are focused on an Australia-based tech unicorn which is back in front of venture capital investors only one year after it last raised fresh funds. While listed equity markets may be punishing such growth stories, the unlisted AirWallex is hoping for a much better reception from existing and new potential investors as it pitches its growth story. Elsewhere, we have a new deal from Australian private equity firm Anacacia Capital and reveal which financial advisory firm has popped up in Boral's camp. There's also updates on a couple of auctions - Village Roadshow and Laureate, where we revealed an interesting American suitor that lobbed a bid last week. Happy reading, Sarah, Anthony and Tim. | Tomorrow's headlines Private equity firm Anacacia Capital is forging its way into Australia's jobs and training sector. |
