"Breast cancer awareness has always been a cause very close to my heart; it's my dream to help women reconquer their femininity damaged by the disease. So here I am, making use of this breast cancer month to raise awareness.

From the beginning of my brand, I had conversations with breast cancer survivors who told me about their struggles, needs, and wishes. Based on all their precious feedback, I developed a unique post-surgery bra together with renowned surgical oncologist Jean Klinkenbijl and my specialized product development team.

I gave the bra a flexible shape and created a wide back panel for extra support. Next to optimal comfort and support, I wanted to give more. As a stylish, finishing touch, I adorned the top of the cups with a beautiful play of lines. "During the conversations I had with breast cancer survivors, they also told me about the emotional aspects of their journey. The uncertainty, the fear of 'losing their femininity', the strength they got from the support of people around them.⁠ ⁠

It made me realize how important it is to share these stories. To inspire women in a similar situation and inform others so they know how to support their loved ones. To build a community of incredibly strong women that are there to help each other, from discussing their options after a mastectomy to simply being there to listen. Illustrator Emmanuel Katsaros made a unique illustration of our 3-piece collection, emphasizing a theme of 'strength'.

"The strength can be seen in the women's hands. They represent personal strength and strength created by women supporting other women in a time of need. I used pink, as a reminder to get yourself checked regularly.
