The Deep The Deep, a new sff title by Rivers Solomon and others, is one of this week's starred fiction selections. "This slim story packs a huge punch. Beautiful and stark in its pain, this emotional journey is one that all readers should take, in order to remember the atrocities of slavery." Also in fiction, The Name of All Things, by Jenn Lyons, is another starred sff selection. "The second of Lyons’s 'Chorus of Dragons' series (after The Ruin of Kings) carries on the epic settings, memorable characters, and broad mythological foundations. Lyons is creating a complex and wonderful series that will immerse and delight." Patti Smith's Year of the Monkey is this week's starred nonfiction selection. "Fans of Smith’s extensive body of work and those who enjoy well-crafted personal narratives will find much to love in this brief and vibrant book." And Jasmine Guillory's latest romance, Royal Holiday, is another starred fiction selection. "Filled with delightful, swoon-worthy dates and many laughs, this affectionate, cross-continent holiday romance is perfect for cozying up with on a cold winter’s night. Fans of [the 'Wedding Date'] series will be clamoring for this latest entry."
