VIDEO: A baby who was delivered inside her home by Anchorage firefighters celebrated her first birthday on Sunday and had a very special surprise at her party. It was a reunion as baby Cameron Marlin met the crew who welcomed her into the world and also saved her life. "She wakes every morning with a big, giant smile on her face, ready to play," Cameron's mother, Charlisse Walker, said. Walker also has an 18-year-old daughter who just started school at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She said she was always nervous about having another pregnancy after her first experience. "It wasn't a bad experience," she said. "It was just very painful. It was just a long labor the last time with my older girl... I didn't think I had it in me to do it again." Little did Walker know that 17 years later — her next time giving birth — the process would be much more distressing.  

VIDEO: A driver smashed into an Albuquerque Fire Rescue truck in July. The crash happened as the fire truck was responding to a different crash in the Northeast Heights. The crash was caused by a driver officials say had been drinking earlier that night, and it left the fire truck out of service. Luckily no one was injured, but the video shows just how much damage was caused by the crash. The incident happened close to 8:20 p.m. on July 1, as AFR was responding to a different crash on Tramway and Montgomery. AFR crew members were just feet away from the truck when it was hit. Witnesses and police said the driver who crashed into the fire truck was driving at a high speed. Adding, the driver didn't even try to slow down.  

VIDEO/PHOTOS: The Orchard Park Fire District will be using a cloud-based software called Florian. The fire district will be the first fire and emergency medical service provider in Western New York to use the software. The district fire chief called the technology "indispensable," for the Windom Volunteer Fire Company, which is technically the only volunteer fire department that serves a major NFL team. Florian is taking fire and EMS protection to another level with the Bills home opener this weekend. The Orchard Park Fire District will be putting it to the test. "Everybody's safety is number one and our firefighter's safety is number one," Orchard Park Fire District Chief Jay Knavel said. The software will keep track of the fire district's assets, its crew members and better protect the public.  

VIDEO: First responders deal with traumatic events every day. And soon, more of them will get the mental health help they might need, thanks to nearly $1 million in federal funding coming to the Vegas valley. Previous research shows elevated rates of suicides among first responders, compared to the rest of the adult population. Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Chief Fernando Gray says unfortunately he's not surprised to hear about the suicide rates. But he says this money can be a lifesaver because he's heard of too many stories like this. "I am aware of people that have basically lost their life to suicide that were firefighters," Gray said. That's why he's thankful Senators Jacky Rosen and Catherine Cortez Masto roped in nearly $1 million to provide mental health training and support to thousands of firefighters, law enforcement and first responders.  

VIDEO/PHOTOS: The annual Miami Valley Antique Fire Apparatus Show was held on Saturday, August 31. This was the fifth year the show was held at Carillon Historical Park. It is hosted by the Miami Valley Antique Fire Apparatus Association (MVAFAA). Over 30 pieces of firefighting antiques displayed 150 years of firefighting history. The antiques are privately owned by members of the club. "There are individuals that own large-scale fire trucks, who own ladder wagons, horse-drawn hose carts, small fire equipment and ephemera, all kinds of things. They're a great group of people," said Vice President of Museum Operations Alex Heckman. The MVAFAA club's history of holding the show is over 25 years long; previously the show was in Germantown.
