Persona 5 Strikers Is Getting a Western Release February 2021!

A screenshot of the release date of Persona 5 Scramble

In Persona 5 Strikers the original cast is reunited, giving us a chance to see what's been going on with our thieving faves after they came together to save Christmas (the final battle took place on Christmas Eve). This means that the entire Phantom Thieves crew will be playable, and from the trailer, it sounds like the original voice actors are back, too.

Trump Lawyer Jenna Ellis Reportedly Tests Positive for COVID-19 After Attending Mask-Optional White House Holiday Party

Jenna Ellis, a member of U.S. President Donald Trump's legal team, listens to Detroit poll worker Jessi Jacobs during an appearance before the Michigan House Oversight Committee

There's really no one to root for here but it's kind of fun that with only 43 days left to go, this administration is still finding new ways to burn itself to the ground.

Doc Ock

I can't wait to see how they use Otto or how Molina approaches the role with a different Spider-Man at the helm but whatever happens, I'm f**king excited.

A Teacher Has Yet to Really Be Compelling Television

Kate Mara and Nick Robinson in A Teacher (2020)

Hulu's A Teacher is a television miniseries created by Hannah Fidell, based on her film of the same name. While I've never seen Fidell's original film, I have yet to see, in the seven episodes released so far, what this ten-episode series will hope to do that was not accomplished in a feature-length film.

Trump Could Have Secured 100 Million More Vaccine Doses, but Didn’t Because He’s Donald Trump

Donald Trump gestures during the presidential debate.

Isn't Trump supposed to be a "dealmaker"? I guess he only deals in incompetence, corruption, and wholesale death.

Anime Dallas Debacle Just Shows Why In-Person Cons Are a Bad Idea Right Now

A picture of the vendor room at Anime Expo 2010.

The unfortunate reality is that there are just enough people out there who feel like this isn't a big deal. They've been emboldened to feel like that because of the state we've been in for most of the year. Let's be honest. Our country hasn't exactly been a shining beacon of how to handle COVID.

10 Novel Characters Who Should Have Been the Protagonist All Along

Screencap of Neville Longbottom in Harry Potter And The Sorceror's Stone

So, firstly: I’m not one to poo-poo on any author’s narrative choices when it comes to fiction. Part of why we love books is because of the way each author uniquely weaves together an unforgettable story. But as I’ve been reading and rereading old favorites in quarantine, I haven’t been able to help but notice that, sometimes, the oh-so-special Chosen One protagonist is a bit … dull … compared to the colorful cast of secondary characters that pass them by.

You Can’t Tell Me Not to Ship Lee Scoresby & John Parry on His Dark Materials

Lee Scoresby (Andrew Scott) and John Parry (Lin-Manuel Miranda) sit on a set of stairs and gaze at each other in HBO's His Dark Materials.

After a physically and emotionally taxing episode of HBO's His Dark Materials, Lee Scoresby could use some tender loving care. Enter Jopari, also known as Will’s father John Parry, played by Andrew Scott. I can’t imagine telling myself in 2019 a lot of things about 2020, but wanting nothing more than to see the Hot Priest and Hamilton kiss is certainly one of them.

My Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Headcanon Lives Rent Free in My Head

I said I wouldn’t write about it. Then I beat the game. This isn’t a review of the game. This, my friends, is a headcanon, my own personal fangirl take on what I would’ve loved to see happen. Every good fangirl has one... or ten, but I’ll just stick with the one until I fall down the fanart/fanfic rabbit hole.
