All about March Madness ... and more

From teachers to truck drivers, from barflies to beauty queens, who doesn't love March Madness? And The Advocate's sports writers are on top of it.

The LSU women's basketball squad received a number 3 seed in the NCAA playoffs, starting their tournament run at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Scott Rabalais notes the one word that comes to mind for the LSU women's team: danger.

Cemeteries are invaluable places for understanding Louisiana history. They are particularly useful for learning about less-prominent people who were not part of the popular historical record.

Sadly, many of Louisiana's smaller cemeteries remain in a state of disrepair.
