Good morning,

Good morning,

You could have heard a pin drop at Citadel’s Martin Place office this week.

Ken Griffin’s hedge fund footed the bill to fly its Sydney staff and their families to Japan to celebrate its 30th anniversary over the weekend, as reported by Bloomberg.

Employees were treated to premier access at Tokyo Disneyland and live performances by Maroon 5 and Calvin Harris.

The US media had a field day with the event, publishing pictures of the employees getting funky with the billionaire over the weekend.

This follows Citadel sending 10,000 of its staff to Disney World Florida to be serenaded by Coldplay. Nice to know hedge funds are doing so well.

Tokyo is shaping up to be the go-to destination for the financial services elite, playing host to Macquarie bankers in October.

If you’re planning a Christmas party at the local pub this year, remember a new bar has been set for loyalty.
