Good evening,

There is nothing any of us would like more than to get back to ‘normal life.’

We’ve had two years of lockdowns, restrictions on our movements, siting in back gardens in the rain so we could catch up with friends and family and even seen Christmas boiled down to a turkey lunch with members of the same household.

So it’s been tough, right?

But are we actually ready to remove every single restriction and start ‘living with Covid’ as the Government puts it.

For most of us the answer will be a resounding yes. After all, our immune systems are trained to fight the virus now, which has seen deaths and serious illness fall dramatically.

But it does seem odd to suggest that people who test positive for Covid (assuming they can afford a test) will no longer have to self-isolate.

So if you go for a night out there is no guarantee that the person sitting near you doesn’t have Covid - and worse, they know they do, but have come out anyway.

For most that will not be a major problem. But it may make some people prisoners in their homes. Is that fair?

Until next time, take care,
Gillian
