Princess Beatrice Got Married in a Gown that Belonged to the Queen

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, weddings around the world are being cancelled, postponed or changed dramatically—and that includes royal weddings too. After postponing their May wedding, Princess Beatrice of York and her fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi tied the knot in an intimate secret wedding on July 17. According to People, the couple wed in front of 20 guests at All Saint’s Chapel in Windsor Great Park. The small group of guests included the newlywed’s parents and siblings, as well as Prince Phillip and Queen Elizabeth II, Beatrice’s grandparents. The sweetest part? Beatrice wore a vintage Norman Hartnell gown that belonged to her grandmother as well as the Queen Mary diamond fringe tiara that Queen Elizabeth wore to her very own wedding in 1947.
