President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced an extraordinary R500 billion support package to stimulate the economy and protect millions of South Africans from hunger and social distress during the Covid-19 pandemic.

 
This is how SA's R500bn relief package will be spent

President Cyril Ramaphosa said R130bn of the required R500bn would be sourced from reprioritizing the budget, while the remaining R370bn would be sourced from the UIF, IMF, World Bank, African Development Bank and the New Development Bank, among other institutions.
