the UAE's new rules for Golden Visas,
Green Residency, and entry permits
On Monday, the UAE Cabinet announced a sweeping set of executive regulations easing
the pathway to obtaining a visa in the country.

The new rules cover visitors, extend more flexible options, and increase the availability
of the Golden Visa. In total, there are now 10 types of entry visas available, with simpler
requirements and increased benefits.
• The UAE Golden Residence visa programme now has easier eligibility requirements.
• The UAE Green Residence visa, a five-year visa for investors establishing or
participating in commercial activities, replaces its previous two year version, and
has been introduced to encourage further investments in the UAE.
• Finally, for visitors, new types of visas have been created. These include the job
exploration visa, aimed at attracting young talents and skilled professionals to
explore job opportunities available in the UAE and the business entry permits which
enables easy entry to the country. Neither visa requires a sponsor or a host.
