A study from researchers at the University of Leipzig shows there is "low use of the Bible" among Germans, with just 1.6% of the German population reading the Bible at least once a day and only 3.2% reading it weekly. The findings come despite half the population identifying as Protestant or Catholic. Read more.
City leaders in Nashville, Tenn., are mourning the loss of Bishop Marcus Campbell of The Church at Mt. Carmel. The 49-year-old pastor suffered from a heart condition; he passed away after spending much of the last several months in the hospital. Campbell was known for helping at-risk teenagers and former gang members walk away from a life of crime. "He touched countless lives, inspiring us all to be better," said Nashville Mayor John Cooper.
