Good morning, Happy Saturday, and welcome to the Saints Insider newsletter for Sept. 24. Just last week, Saints rookie cornerback Alontae Taylor made his defensive debut, holding his own against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This week, however, Taylor is out. The Saints won’t have Taylor for Sunday’s game against the Panthers in Charlotte, North Carolina, and several others could potentially join him on the sideline Sunday, including Alvin Kamara, who missed last week’s game against the Bucs. As for the game, the Saints will (obviously) have to contain running back Christian McCaffrey, one of the Panthers’ few bona fide stars, during Sunday’s game. Here’s how they’ll try to do it. Also: Jeff Duncan and Jim Derry take a long look at Sunday’s game. We’ll have much more in advance of the Saints’ pivotal game in Charlotte, not to mention the most complete coverage of Sunday’s game. Stick with us this weekend and all season long. Cheers, The Saints beat team (Rod Walker, Terrin Waack, Luke Johnson and Jeff Duncan) |
