Following its strong 2022, when it finished fourth in the F1 Constructors’ Championship, Alpine fell back to midfield fodder last year, finishing way off McLaren and Aston Martin with the big three distant dots on its horizon.
Therefore, it’s encouraging to hear that it has taken a “completely new” design approach. Don’t expect an overnight sensation, however, as this is very much a ‘work in progress’ to claw back the ground lost on its nearest rivals over the past 12 months.
