The Emerging Leaders Program helps you keep an eye on the next phase of wind energy by encouraging the growth and development of wind energy’s up and coming stars. The U.S. Department of Energy Collegiate Wind Competition challenges interdisciplinary teams of undergraduate students from a variety of programs to offer a unique solution to a complex wind energy project using the three multi-faceted elements highlighted below; providing each student with real-world experience as they prepare to enter the wind industry workforce. The KidWind Challenge is a hands-on wind turbine design competition that engages students in grades 4-12 in investigative inquiry through the lens of wind energy.
