Edition 39 | 2024 | | Dear John Do, | | Nearly every second supermarket product contains palm oil, according to the World Wide Fund for Nature. However, its cultivation has a devastating impact on the environment and accelerates climate change. Meanwhile, companies in Hamburg are working on an alternative to palm oil. In our latest Future Hamburg Talk, Maximilian Webers, CEO of the Colipi bio-tech start-up, points out: “We are a brewery that produces oils rather than beers,” Webers reveals how the technology works and where the founders see themselves five years from now.
Sustainability will take centre stage during the first Hamburg Sustainability Conference. underway from October 7-8, 2024. Global leaders, business representatives, academics and society will come together in Hamburg to forge new alliances and advance the global UN sustainability goals.
This year, Schwerin will host German Unity Day celebrates, a strong delegation is representing Hamburg at the Expo Real property fair in Munich and the latest Music Worx Incubator has launched.
