. My first vintage movie poster I acquired over 35 years ago was spotted at a Comic Collector Show near Boston. It was probably the first original vintage movie poster I ever saw, a 1953 “Abbott and Costello Meet Dr Jekyll and My Hyde”. The artwork was stunning and I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. It was a full one sheet theatrical movie poster and I had to have it! To this day it still hangs in my Office.
Most of my friends were into Three Stooges, but for me it was Abbott & Costello feature films that were at a much higher level then Three Stooges with big band music including the biggest music groups of the 1940s like Ted Lewis and The Andrews Sisters and some of the Iconic stars in their era like Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney, Boris Karloff and Charles Laughton. . But, the 1941 “In the Navy” is one of the most Rare of all original Abbott and Costello posters with just 2 or 3 in existence.
