Hooked on it: Family finds stash in the ocean
Thereâre few family activities more rewarding than a fishing trip. Itâs fun, relaxing and exciting when you finally hook a catch â but what happens when you reel it in to find something that isnât a fish? Well, one family in South Carolina made the catch of a lifetime when they reeled in a 44-pound package from the depths of the water. After dragging the box ashore, they cut into the package to find mysterious powdery white bricks stashed inside. As it turns out, the family had accidentally netted 20 kilograms of pure cocaine with a street value of more than $600,000. Suffice to say, the family turned their find in to police but saw no reward for their efforts. Nobody said fishing was a profitable hobbyâ¦
All things considered, their catch could have been worse.
