Even though his tasks never led him across state lines, he was exempt from the Federal Arbitration Act’s (FAA) enforcement provisions as a transportation worker engaged in interstate commerce.
Black Farmers Hit Monsanto with “No More Roundup” LawsuitSt Louis, MO In an attempt to stop the sale of the weedkiller Roundup, a federal civil rights lawsuit was filed last month on behalf of the National Black Farmers Association against Bayer (which bought Monsanto). Farmers argue that they are forced to buy more and more Roundup-resistant seeds every year and the only way to break the cycle is to remove Roundup from the market.

The 1361-page Zantac cancer lawsuit was filed on behalf of 230 plaintiffs, names 54 drug industry defendants and includes 314 counts under the laws of all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, as well as federal law.
