LOS ANGELES: Gucci Beauty will play host to its first-ever consumer pop-up from March 6-7, in partnership with Sephora. Dubbed "Gucci Beauty Network Studios," the free, immersive event will celebrate the launch of the new Gucci Mascara L’Obscur.

NEW YORK: Public relations and marketing firm Bullfrog & Baum has been named the agency of record for Mandarin Oriental, Canouan. The luxury resort, comprised of 26 suites and nine villas, marks the first property in the Caribbean for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

ST. LOUIS: Live! by Loews - St. Louis has rolled out the welcome mat to signal the 216-room hotel’s grand opening. The new property boasts 17,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 5,000-square-foot grand ballroom, as well as four restaurants and bars offering flexible space for groups. The hotel will mark the first new-build property to open in downtown St. Louis in nearly 10 years.

WASHINGTON: Industry veteran Joe Thornton has moved into his new role as executive vice president and chief operating officer of HMSHost. In his new position, Thornton will helm operations at 1,700-plus food and beverage locations in North America. Prior to his appointment, Thornton led operations at beverage giants Jamba Juice and Starbucks Coffee Company.
