American Gothic: Farm Couple Nailed in Massive $9M Crop Insurance Fraud
 
From the basement of a modest farmhouse, Robert and Viki Warren ran a crop insurance chop-shop. Across a six-year run, the couple’s purported crop losses were near-biblical. As USDA investigators and a prosecutor closed in on the scam, the Warrens hid a portion of their wealth, presumably burying $20 bills stuffed inside plastic tubes.
