Amor Vittone shared a message of reflection and thanks to her fans after bidding her father a final farewell at his funeral last week.
Dario Vittone died in July after undergoing open heart surgery and suffering a severe stroke. He was 82.
In a lengthy video on social media on Monday, the South African singer opened up about "one of the most emotional, heartbreaking and saddest times" of her life.
"At night, I would scroll through pictures or go through albums and cry myself to sleep, and I really needed that," she said. "I think you have to cry. You have to go through grief. You have to go through all these stages of grief."
She added that her father left her and her family "a legacy to follow his generous attitude, his loving attitude, and his living every day to the full."
Vittone also took the opportunity to thank her fans for their "beautiful" and "heartfelt" messages of condolences.
