On Tuesday evening, around 50 people clad in black gathered outside Elmhurst Hospital in Queens. In solemn precision, they marched through Jackson Heights to 95th Street, nearing the neighborhood of Corona, the former epicenter of the pandemic in NYC.
Ten women took turns reading the names of those who lost their lives to the virus in the US. But amid the pain and loss, the demonstrators hoped to convey a message: “Vote.”
