| By Drew Broach | Deputy metro editor LONG TIME COMING: It took more than eight years, but the last of six defendants in the deadly robbery of an armored truck guard outside a New Orleans bank has been convicted. A federal court jury found Curtis “Blow” Johnson Jr. guilty Thursday of conspiracy, obstruction of commerce by robbery and murder and of violating the Federal Gun Control Act. Sentencing is scheduled July 13. 'DISMEMBERMENT:' As fractious as New Orleans politics can be, at least there's a single municipal government. That wasn't always the case, however; from 1836 to 1852, the city was divided into three semi-autonomous municipalities - each with its own Council of Aldermen. BOUND TO HAPPEN: A Mid-City man who apprehended a trespasser at his home said he "had no other choice but to tie him to a post until police got there."
