Harris Yard Signs Now Available in Jackson County

Yes! We now have Harris yard signs for you to pick up!  If you would like a Harris yard sign for your residence or business, email mail@jcdemocrats.org.  We’re asking for a $10 donation for each sign.  If you live in rural Jackson County outside of city limits, you can put up your yard sign any time.  If you live within one of our cities, please check with your city as to when you can post election signs.

Four Democrats from Jackson County have already made their mark in this historic election.  The Democratic delegation from Oregon has voted unanimously for Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic Nominee for President.  Soon, four Jackson County delegates will be on their way to Chicago to join the Oregon delegation at  the Democratic National Convention.

Here are the four Jackson County delegates who will be representing Oregon Congressional District 2 at the Democratic Convention.  Please consider making a donation to our delegates’ GoFund Me pages to help our local delegates attend the convention.  

Lisa Horwich- Lisa is a local Democrat and is dedicating her participation as a delegate in honor of her late mother, Myra Silverman.  In 2008, Myra was a delegate to the Democratic Convention in Denver, and Lisa states she is sure her mother would be proud to see her daughter following in her footsteps.  Lisa is raising funds to help with her expenses:

Cole Daneman - Cole is serving as Secretary of the Jackson County Democrats as well as taking an active role on several committees for our local party.  Cole is also the campaign manager for Oregon State Representative Emerson Levy.  Fun fact: While attending Ashland High School, Cole became an Oregon state champion in Congressional Debate.  

Isabella Lee TIbbetts - Isabella is Vice Chair of the Jackson County Democrats.  She is a mother of two young children and works as a development associate for Southern Oregon Climate Action Now (SOCAN).  Isabella is enrolled in the Lyndon B. Johnson Women’s Campaign School at the University of Texas at Austin. As an indigenous woman, Isabella is dedicated to making sure indigenous, rural, and young voices are heard at the convention. Kevin Stine - Kevin serves as a Medford City Councilor as well as a Precinct Committee Person with the Jackson County Democrats.  Kevin is a Navy Reservist, a member of the Navy Funeral Honors Team, a teacher with the Medford School District, a husband and a dad.  Kevin served in the Navy for nine years, which included three submarine deployments.  He has worked with Access in Jackson County to help houseless veterans find housing and connect to services.  Kevin is raising funds to help with his expenses: https://gofund.me/3472ebae

Democrats are excited to announce that Dylan Gutridge, a healthcare professional from White City, will be our nominee for Oregon Senate District 28.  No Democrat filed for this office in the May primary, but because of some GOP missteps, the Oregon Democrats were able to hold a special convention to select a nominee for this important seat.

Dylan’s priorities include protecting health care access and creating more working family wage jobs and affordable housing across his district. 

Dylan’s opponent, Republican Diane Linthicum, is the wife of incumbent Sen. Dennis Linthicum, who is ineligible to run for re-election because of his participation in last year’s Republican walkout.  The Linthicums are both election deniers, and Dennis is now the GOP candidate for Secretary of State – and his #1 priority is to end our Oregon vote by mail elections.  

Democrat Dylan Gutridge will stand up for our freedoms as Oregonians and Americans.  In contrast, the Oregon GOP, if granted power, promises in its new platform to end access to abortion, marriage equality, and vote by mail.
