The University of Maryland's School of Medicine and Robert H. Smith School of Business recently announced a new dual degree program for the next generation of healthcare leaders.
The joint MD/FlexMBA program aims to respond to what an emailed announcement called "technological advancements in the healthcare sector and increasing financial and management challenges."
This program is specifically crafted to meet the escalating demand for business, entrepreneurial and analytical skills within the healthcare profession. It offers aspiring physicians and healthcare leaders the opportunity to earn both medical and business degrees within a five-year timeframe. The program's objective is to cater to the busy schedules of medical students and healthcare professionals by providing hybrid learning options, fostering flexibility and accessibility.
The University of Maryland’s business school also offers a STEM-focused, part-time MBA course of study that’s separate from the dual degree program.
