A disheartened stage manager, who has forgotten the true meaning of Christmas, is visited by the spirit of the author of “A Christmas Carol,” Mr. Charles Dickens. Inflamed to see what has happened to his precious tale, Dickens returns to set things straight about what Christmas truly means. Dickens is determined to wipe away the overshadowing of purchasing presents and jingling bells from the stage manager’s eyes (and possibly our own) and to show him that Christmas is about embracing that poor child in the manger from whom the day originated.
