We were in touch in March to let you know that our business was going through a series of transformations, which were accelerated due to the impacts of Covid-19 on the travel industry. Today, I am writing to update you on this continuing journey which we are both confident and excited about.
We know how important it is to be accessible, so we’re investing heavily in solutions for customers who prefer to book online at flightcentre.com.au, via phone or chat. Our 332 stores are conveniently located, with 97% of our customers living within five kilometres of a store, making it easy for anyone to drop in and start turning travel dreaming into planning, with one of our amazing experts.
No matter where or how you choose to book with us, Flight Centre will be here to deliver the best travel deals in Australia.
As part of the process, we have made the difficult decision to close around 90 of our stores and keep 332 convenient locations. We are sad to see these doors close as we know some of our amazing travel experts made your travel dreams a reality in these stores.
These changes won’t impact our focus or ability to continue to process your refunds, credits or to make new holiday plans. We are committed to refunding our customers as quickly as possible, this will not change.
If the changes we are making affect your store or agent, we will be in touch in the future but please be assured that your bookings, credits and pending refunds are safe, and are still our first priority.
Please know that all of us at Flight Centre thank you and will continue to support you, and all Australians, with their travel needs for another 40 years because the minute those borders open, we know that you, our customers, will be raring to go!
