I launched The Lasting Supper (lovingly nicknamed TLS) in 2012. I had left the ministry and the Church in 2010 and I felt the sudden pangs of the lack of community and a tangible loneliness like I had never experienced before. Perhaps you can relate?
I realized that, for those of us who have left the church or are deconstructing our beliefs, there are little-to-no resources or community available to us, so I decided to fill this void. I created and collected resources, started sharing my story, and launched our online community.
Guess what! It’s still going strong today.
As I’ve been looking around lately, I’ve noticed the same thing I noticed years ago: there is a dire lack of good resources and a sad lack of authentic community for people who are going through a deconstruction of their faith and trying to find their path forward.
Solution? Open the doors to TLS and make it available to more people who are searching for answers, connection and community.
I’m excited about it because TLS is an awesome space. It’s chock-full of resources… articles, videos, book recommendations & reviews, members posts, monthly zoom hangouts, live Q&A’s and more! But more than that, we have a private members forum where there are real people, just like you and me, sharing their stories and giving and receiving support. It’s a place where you'll be met with empathy, acceptance and understanding, instead of judgment and shame as you find your truth.
What TLS has done for me, as well as for others, is provide a sense of community and the safety to freely explore changing beliefs on the way to spiritual independence and freedom.
Members make new friends here. I’ve met many of them face to face. And people are meeting up in person around the world… two members actually met inside TLS and got married!
TLS, in many ways, has saved my life, my sanity, and my spiritual health. And I’m not the only one. (You can read about other people’s experiences below)
If you feel like I did back in 2010 and you’re struggling to navigate life through shifting spiritual beliefs, or you’re feeling isolated and alone on your journey of deconstruction, then I’d like to invite you to pull up a chair and join me at the table inside The Lasting Supper.
It’s a safe place to ask the tough questions, connect with others on a similar journey, and find your authentic and aligned spiritual path.
So if you want support to make your way through the 5 stages of deconstruction to spiritual freedom and independence, and you want a safe and supportive community and friendships along the way, then join me inside TLS today!
The doors are open until Saturday the 16th and we’d love to have you!
