Football Two months after the end of spring practice, fifth-year defensive end Soni Fonua entered the transfer portal. Fonua, who started the last five games in 2021, wasn't seen during spring ball. Baseball The College World Series starts Friday night with a record four SEC West teams in the field. LSU isn't there, of course, which is part of baseball beat writer Leah Vann's take on the divisional dominance. We also have a deep, inside look at the Baton Rouge company that has attracted more than 40 major leaguers to town. The Baseball Performance Lab examines their only piece of offensive equipment — the bat — and may change the selection process for good. Basketball The men's basketball team will participate in the 10th annual Big 12/SEC Challenge, and it's hosting a premiere opponent. NIL Ah, the thing that affects every sport on campus. Louisiana's NIL law recently changed to lift restrictions on LSU and other state schools. We broke down how the amended bill affects LSU.
