You might have noticed you didn’t hear from us as often as you usually do during the past week. As a team, we’ve been putting in place actionable steps that will help us better serve and support the Black community, now and always.

Tomorrow, we’ll resume sending our daily newsletters, but that doesn’t mean it’s back to business as usual. We know real change is needed, and our forthcoming pledge will outline exactly how we’re going to make Byrdie a more diverse, inclusive place (both online and internally). We’ll be sharing it with you very soon, but for today, we hope you read the below stories that celebrate Black beauty. The road to racial equality is going to require a continuous effort from all of us, and we’re dedicated to continuing these conversations even when the spotlight moves on.
