The upcoming exhibition “Ministry of Truth: 1984/2020” will present 20 artists on 20 billboards around New York City, providing “a platform for artists to comment on the current state of US politics and increasing polarization just in time for the election.”Some of the participating artists include Shirin Neshat, Dread Scott, Abigail de Ville, Marilyn Minter, Mel Chin, and Deborah Kass. The billboards will be sited around NYC’s five boroughs.In Other NewsThe dissident Chinese artist Ai Weiwei staged a silent protest in front of a London court in support of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who is facing extradition to the United States.Archaeologists in Turkey have discovered a 2,400-year-old terra cotta mask of the Greek god Dionysus.
