We recently held a series of webinars exploring the ways we are changing and developing our regulatory approach. You can now watch the whole series on YouTube. In this webinar we updated on thetimelinefor implementingour new regulatory approach. This webinar focused onour approach to assessing local authorities. In this webinar we updated onour approach to assessing integrated care systems. From 31 May, providers will start to see an improved process for cancelling their registration. This will initially be open to those who are registered with us as an organisation (not a partnership or individual) and have only one registered location. Providers meeting these criteria will have to provide less information to us and can expect to see a reduction in rejection rates. It will also be easier for us to process due to improved information quality and save us time. Well update our De-register with CQC web content shortly before the change becomes live. This is an early step in improving the experience of providers when they interact with us. Well build on this throughout the course of the year. We are developing a new regulatory model, which we will implement later this year. In our new single assessment framework, Feedback from staff and leaders is a required evidence category for all our new quality statements. As part of this work, we want to improve how we gather feedback from staff across health and social care who may be more likely to face inequalities in the workplace. We want to improve how we will consider their experiences in our assessments and other regulatory work. You can help shape this work through a short survey. CQCs transformation is driven by the needs, views and experiences of health and social care providers and professionals. Your involvement in research and engagement activities is helping us to understand how we effectively design and deliver a new regulatory approach and portal. To celebrate your part in this work and highlight its importance we want to share your experiences of being involved. What made you volunteer, how has the experience been, what benefit has it brought you, what excites you about the way were changing.
Well use these reflections in our campaign work to raise awareness of the changes that are coming. We will be promoting our new regulatory approach and provider portal by sharing your reflections through blogs, on social media and if youre interested through some short videos/podcasts. You can submit your reflections anonymously or if youre happy to be named when we promote them you can share more details. There are ongoing opportunities to shape how CQC works on our digital engagement platform CitizenLab. Sign up now to access these opportunities when they're available. |
