The value of partnerships, importance of being platform-agnostic, role of talent and influencers, and metrics that matter—from Nielsen to YouTube comments on day one—were among content shared by panelists at the second annual Cynopsis Short Form Video Fest. Best in short-form in Comedy, Music, Documentary and Branded Content were among the categories at the event, which also recognized two Luminary Award honorees. Group Nine Media, parent of The Dodo, NowThis, Seeker and Thrillist, whose content receives 50 million daily views received the Engagement Award. AT&T was honored for its Dream In Black campaign, which used short-form video as a central element to its “Black Future Month” initiative in February. Noting that aside from elevating the conversation around black excellence, during February “We’ve been able to move the needle, lifting AT&T brand and reputation by 6 percent in this month,” said Angela Bergin, director of marketing within Hello Lab within AT&T’s Mobility & Entertainment division, who was presented with her award by Angela Yee, co-host of The Breakfast Club morning radio show. Stay tuned for event photos, which will be posted on Cynopsis' Facebook page tomorrow!
