| | The best and brightest in sports media were at the New York Athletic Club on Central Park South this morning to celebrate the winners and honorable mentions at the 8th annual Cynopsis Sports Media Awards. The event attracted a crowd of sports community elite who cheered each other on as they were lauded in a lively ceremony. “It is always a thrill to see the community come together and rally around the industry’s best work. We are honored to have hosted this event and recognize the inspiration and sweat that went into each and every one of these projects” said Chris Pursell, Head of Content & Partnerships for Cynopsis Sports & Esports.
Major luminary honorees were also awarded: NFL Films, accepted by Host/Senior Director Steve Trout; MGM, accepted by Director of Global Sales Neil Johnson; and Jenny Storms, CMO and EVP of Content Strategy for NBC Sports. In presentations that were by turns touching, funny and reverential, it was clear these are leaders who not only innovate, but inspire.
On hand to help with presenting duties - and lend a little starpower - were ESPN Host Arda Ocal, National Sports Broadcaster Seth Everett, and MLB Network's Scott Braun.
