De leden zijn allemaal familie van gevangenen die tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog in concentratiekamp Amersfoort hebben gezeten. Nicoline is de dochter van de 97-jarige Nic Snaas, die op miraculeuze wijze uit het kamp kon wegkomen. Andere Tijden volgt de bewogen repetities en spreekt met een aantal koorleden. Koorlid Annemieke Thomas is de dochter van omgekomen kampgevangene Johan Thomas. Hij werd opgepakt tijdens de razzia van Putten. Ronne Sies zingt mee voor zijn oom Izaak, die na een mislukte aanslag gefusilleerd is op de Leuserheide. Presentator Astrid Sy gaat ook in gesprek met Edie Brouwer, de gids van Kamp Amersfoort. Hij heeft zelf ook een bijzondere reden om zich in te zetten voor het kamp. Zijn filosofie en die van andere beroemde stoïcijnse filosofen als Seneca en keizer-wijsgeer Marcus Aurelius worden vaak tevoorschijn gehaald bij een epidemie. Epictetus vond dat we al onze aandacht en energie moesten richten op wat wel in onze macht ligt. Het uitbreken van de corona-epidemie met alle gevolgen van dien onttrekt zich aan onze macht. Die kan alleen stoïcijns worden uitgezeten, ‘met berusting en aanvaarding’. Precies daarom hebben we nu wellicht iets aan deze filosofie, zodat we leren om onze paniek en zorgen de juiste maat te geven. Om gekraakte panden te ontruimen voor de aanleg van de metro, maar vooral om de laatste slag te leveren in een strijd van jaren. aan de ene kant staat het gemeentebestuur, die grootschalige plannen heeft voor de inrichting van de stad. Aan de andere kant verzamelt zich een steeds grotere schare actievoerders die het historische karakter van de stad wil behouden en de verkrotte huizen wil renoveren. De actievoerders weten menig plan tegen te houden of om te buigen. Maar op het punt van de metro houdt de gemeente de poot stijf, want die moet en zal er komen. | Hoe ingrijpend het bombardement op Rotterdam was, kan het best worden verteld door iemand die het zelf heeft meegemaakt. Zo iemand is Koos Postema, die als geen ander kan overbrengen wat een oorlog in het leven van een kind betekent. Veertig jaar geleden tekende hij zijn verhaal op in het boek 'Het bombardement'.
