When Should You Upgrade to macOS Ventura? This coming October, Apple has announced the release of its latest macOS version, Ventura. The new version includes a variety of new features and applications. However, the bigger question is when an upgrade should be undertaken. According to our friend, Larry Jordan, the answer is: not immediately. Especially for editors, Larry Jordan's long-standing recommendation is to wait until Apple releases at least the .1 update to any new version of macOS. This allows the company to fix bugs in the OS before updating. He adds, "For now, I’m staying with the latest version of macOS Monterey (v. 12.6) and waiting a few months, at least, for the 13.1 version of macOS Ventura. Just in case."
