Jessi broke into comedy as the only woman in an all-male improv group that also featured Seth Rogan. Renowned for her humor, quick wit and authenticity, she has been the host of popular television programs including MTV Canada’s The Hills After Show, CBC’s The Goods and Canada’s Smartest Person.
Today, Jessi is the founder of digital platform New Mom, Who Dis?, a go-to destination for candid, honest and always-funny takes on motherhood that has developed a dedicated global community of followers. Her weekly podcast series Phone a Friend debuted as the number-one comedy podcast in Canada, and this year her debut stand-up comedy special Minivan Money premiered on global streaming service VEEPS.
Jessi has also worked extensively with Plan Canada and Global Citizen, traveling to Kenya, India and Ecuador to advocate for gender equality, education for all, and removing barriers that keep girls from reaching their full potential.
Jessi will embark on her second stand-up comedy tour in the spring, but before that, everyone who’s registered for Kidscreen Summit 2025 is invited to come and see her host the Kidscreen Awards ceremony on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11.
