Now the process might be complicated by the criminal investigation of Landrum's political ally, former Louisiana state Sen. Karen Carter Peterson.
ANOTHER SURGE: It wasn't just COVID-19 that spread across the U.S. beginning in 2020. New infections of three common sexually transmitted diseases increased during the pandemic, and Louisiana remained among the states with the highest rates of spread, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
