SAG-AFTRA Health Plan To Pay $15M To Wrap ERISA SuitSanta Clara, CA The SAG-AFTRA Health Plan has agreed to pay $15 million to settle a proposed class-action lawsuit alleging violations of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). The ERISA lawsuit, initially filed in 2020 by late actor and former SAG president, Ed Asner, and nine other defendants claimed that the health plan improperly denied or terminated benefits to older performers who were entitled to them.

And the next Monsanto trial is scheduled to take place next week in St. Louis County.
Grubhub Owes Misclassified Former Driver $65 – with ImplicationsSan Francisco, CA A Grubhub delivery driver, who accused the food delivery company in 2015 of withholding minimum wage and overtime pay from drivers and that drivers are owed reimbursements for costs accrued through deliveries has been awarded $65.11 – yes, and eleven cents—for California minimal wage violation. The judge ruled that the gig driver was a Grubhub employee and not an independent contractor. That $65.11 award, however, could have implications for the gig economy.
