Advanced Construction Video #204:

Fix A Gap In Transition Sections

Advanced Construction Video - Fixing the gaps in the fit of a home-made Transition SectionIn our last video, I showed how to join two tubes of different diameters using a plastic nose cone. The part is called a "transition." Unfortunately, there was a gap between the transition and the smaller body tube. In this video, I'll show you how to fix the issue. You'll see how simple it is, and how it can be used on other parts with gaps too.

Aerotech has released two new 38mm high-power reload motor kits. The nifty thing about these is that they can be shipped without a HAZMAT fee. So you'll save big bucks. The motors are the H130W which fits the RMS 38/240 case and the I180W which goes with the RMS 38/360 reload casing. We have them in stock and ready to ship.

Patch Batch - Avion
Patch Batch Sticker Set

The third sticker in the collection is designed after the Avion rocket kit. The Avion was created in 2007 as a beginners rocket kit because it utilizes common rocketry parts and simple construction techniques.

We call this collection of six vinyl stickers the Patch Batch. They look like patches, and there is a whole batch of them. When you collect all six, they can be arranged to look like a rocket as seen in the image on the page. Every two months we’ll release a new vinyl sticker. The sticker doesn't cost anything when you place a regular order! But you have to claim it by clicking the link above and adding it to your cart.

Customer Comments

"Even before our order is delivered, I want to let you know how fantastic Sara and Erin were to work with over the phone!  I’ve had a looooong week with definitely unfantastic phone order experiences, and you have no idea what a breath of fresh air it was to deal with these friendly, patient, helpful folks!  I was also sure to let our ordering faculty & students know about this.  Please thank them for me (& give ‘em a raise)."

I need help with generating the biweekly newsletter articles since it takes a lot of effort to put them together. And I'm willing to pay big bucks for your help.

So ask yourself, are you looking to earn some extra money?

I'm now actively seeking writers for articles to appear in this newsletter. And I want unique and cutting-edge articles because that is what you want to read, right? I realize this, so to get articles from outside writers that have the same level of quality, I'm going to have to pay a lot of cash to make it worth it for them. So I've come up with a compensation package where I'll pay up to $350 for good how-to articles.

Are you a writer, and does that interest you? That is a lot of cash! Far more than you'll get by writing for other magazines. And with over 23,000 worldwide subscribers, if you write for the Peak-of-Flight Newsletter, you'll gain a lot of notoriety. Writing for the Peak-of-Flight Newsletter is a great way to show off your rocketry projects and your technical expertise, at the same time as helping out other rocketeers. Imagine how great you'll feel knowing that you made a difference to the hobby.

If you're interested in writing, see the guidelines on our site.
