This is the final video in the construction of the "Timer Test Vehicle" (TTV) rocket. Previously, the electronics and the parachutes were attached, and in this final step we're prepping the rocket for launch by installing igniters that fire off the rocket motor, and the one firing off the apogee ejection charge. You'll see how the ejection charge is added to the rocket, and then how the upper body tube is affixed to the fin can using the removable plastic rivets. Finally the wadding and the parachutes are packed for flight and the rocket is readied for launch. If you'd like to see an actual launch, click here. The TTV rocket was created as a way for us to inexpensively test the Simple Timer. This electronic staging device is perfect for those that wish to stage composite propellant rocket motors. The TTV is a small-ish rocket that allows you to try out your timers and dual-deployment altimeters without using high-power motors.
