Meals on wheels: Commuters get a subway surpriseNYCâs subway system is world famous, but residents can find the ride a bit of a chore. This goes double when construction is happening, and rides are extended, delayed or rerouted. But comedian Jodell Lewis had the idea of bringing a little seasonal spirit to the dreary riders of the Brooklyn-bound L train. With the help of some staff members, he assembled a full Thanksgiving feast right in the middle of the subway car and invited anyone hungry enough to join. A full roasted turkey was served, along with mashed potatoes and cornbread. When the train finally arrived, the passengers left with big smiles and bigger bellies. Only in New York City. If you think Thanksgiving on the subway is wild, wait until you see Christmas. Click or tap to see Michael Buble singing on the New York City Subway. â |
