An intercultural citizenship test to assess citizensâ competences | |
|

At the request of the intercultural cities coordinators, the ICC programme has set up a working group to develop an intercultural citizenship test. The test will assess citizens’ knowledge and awareness on human rights, their intercultural competences, their perception of diversity as an advantage, as well as their willingness to act in an intercultural way. | |

On 29 November 2017, during the Lisbon Milestone Event celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Council of Europe’s Intercultural Cities Programme, an announcement was made that the Mexican Chamber of Deputies voted a reform of the National Development Plan to incorporate interculturalism in all policies and government programmes. The law was promulgated by the Mexican President on 16 February, 2018. | |

The ICC website has been updated and enriched. A new set of good practice from member cities is now available and the filtering system has been enriched with new policy areas. The Resources section has been restructured and documents are now classified in clearer thematic areas. A section on Local and national cooperation contains the main documents related to the Policy Lab for inclusive integration initiative. The Guidance for Diversity Connectors for Start-ups are now available also in French. | |
