OTL WorkSpace Update

Our hard-working team of volunteers has made incredible progress on our Ottawa Tool Library WorkSpace! Soon we will begin offering safety courses and the WorkSpace will officially open.
Stay tuned later this month when we announce more information on how to register for the safety courses and book a bench. Thanks for all the financial support we've received through our mini-crowdfund to get this space going. If you still want to help, click the link below.  ❤️💪🛠

I want to support you!
Power Tools 101 for Women

This workshop teaches you how to use all the basic power tools. We'll cover safety, common uses for power tools, and you'll get to make something.
The workshop is geared towards all those who identify as women or non-binary who have little to no experience with power tools.

❗️This workshop has sold out already, but we'll offer it again. ❗️

Put me on your list for the next one

Sprouting Demo
On Monday April 29th, we are partnering up with Nu Grocery to teach you all about how to grow and cook with sprouts! You will learn how to grow your own sprouts from beans, lentils, nuts and seeds and how to cook with them.
Cost: $5

New Merch Alert!

We just stocked up on some new spring toques! Stop by the Ottawa Tool Library during opening hours and get yourself one.
Now's your chance to proudly wear your OTL gear around town!
We've also got tote bags, water bottles, and tee-shirts for sale.

Our winter Repair Cafes with Lee Valley have come to an end! We had a great season and saved tons of appliances, electronics, and furniture from the dump.

A Chat with Ottawa Neighbours Blog
Our co-founder Bettina was interviewed for Ottawa Neighbours Blog last month! This blog helps the Ottawa community get to know its business neighbours and inspires them to support local. You can read Bettina's interview and check out other great businesses on the Ottawa Neighbours Blog.

Fight for Your Right to Repair

Canada just had its first Right to Repair bill tabled in the Ontario parliament. This is a HUGE milestone for anyone who has tried to repair products they own only to realize it’s prohibitively expensive or outright impossible.

We need federal legislation that gives everyone across Canada the right to repair! You can help by signing this petition calling on Innovation Minister Navdeep Bains to give us the right to repair.
