Executive order lifts restrictions on retail occupancy

S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster issued a new executive order on Friday which lifts restrictions on the occupancy of retail establishments and allows bowling alleys to open immediately. The move comes a day after the state saw a single-day record of 687 new cases of COVID-19 and 13 additional deaths.

Greenville budget prioritizes affordable housing and transit 

The city of Greenville’s budget, approved Wednesday after a second reading, will set aside $2 million for affordable housing, $500,000 more than the allotted amount in the first reading, and $1.2 million for Greenlink funding. Other allocations include $2 million for sidewalk construction and street resurfacing.
