By Dylan LeClair and Sam Rule

On-chain indicators for bitcoin look strong, indicating that we possibly saw the bottom in price at $16,000. However, this needs to be considered alongside macroeconomic factors, and that this could also be a fake-out bear market rally.

Sen. Cruz is a known advocate for bitcoin, praising its decentralization, and he's even championed the potential benefits for Texas as a state in the bitcoin mining industry.

If the resolution passes, it could serve as the first exposure for Capitol politicians to using BTC as a daily payment method and shift their perspectives towards cryptocurrencies. The resolution needs to pass both the House and Senate to take effect.
