Charlie and I talked about how dieters and entrepreneurs face similar challenges...


“Diet Bombs and Destructive Distractions.”


For the dieters… 


Having chips and chocolate in the house on Friday night can lead to 5,000 calorie binges... that can destroy a week’s worth of healthy eating in just a few gluttonous minutes (this is also why I no longer allow myself to keep giant bags of chocolate covered almonds at home ;)


Likewise, for ambitious entrepreneurs seeking 7-figure incomes… 


Social media apps and phone notifications can destroy the best-laid morning productivity plans.


You must have systems in place for eliminating these Diet & Distraction BOMBS.


As I have always said:


Doing the WRONG thing once can destroy the results of doing the right thing 100 times.

This applies to your business, your diet, your investments, your workouts, and your productivity.


If you want more success in these areas…


You’ve GOT to stop taking two steps forward, three steps back — and essentially flushing your hard work down the toilet.


But not everyone realizes where they’re going wrong.


There’s 5 “Mental Mistakes” I constantly see people making that kill success more than anything else. 


I’ve broken each one down for you below so you can recognize and AVOID them: 


1. The 5-Figure Lifestyle


You can’t have a 7-figure income on a 5-figure lifestyle.


If you snooze, binge, or avoid difficult discussions and decisions… 


… you are taking the easy way out. 


Living a Tommy Boy or Billy Madison type of existence is no way to go through life.


YouTube & Netflix after nine...


Drinking on school nights...


Hitting snooze...


All of these are stealing what matters in your life.


2. Perverse Forms of Procrastination


Ever noticed yourself cleaning your office when you should be finishing a script, email, or sales letter?


Are you choosing the path of least resistance first thing in the AM and going straight to social media on your phone?


In many cases, you may think you are being productive with so-called “self-care”...


But it’s likely holding you back.


Do only what is right & necessary, then get down to work.


ASAP.


3. No Planning or Prep the Night Before


A common obstacle among my clients...


… is getting so busy they forget to plan tomorrow today.


That leads to an ineffective morning routine as they scramble to create a plan.


The solution?


Do your planning and prep for tomorrow, as early as lunchtime today


Better to be early than to not be prepared at all.


4. Not Saying NO to The Trivial Many


If you want to do great things, you must do fewer things.


Cut out the “trivial many” activities that merely keep you busy… 


And focus on the “vital few” that produce disproportional results. 


It’s the 80-20 principle at play.


5. Skipping Self-Reflection or Introspection

That’s where you sit or lay down at the end of your day…


And mentally review everything you did and how your day went, starting from the moment you woke up.


This internal audit / self-reflection exercise shows where you can improve...


And it outlines the path to getting 1% better everyday... 


Which end up being 3X’s better and more productive over the course of a year.


This might sound simple…


But don’t underestimate how powerful it is!

Those are the 5 worst mistakes I see holding people back from success. 


When you recognize and focus on destroying these mental limitations in your own life… 


You’ll have exponential growth in 2025.
